Spending in Statewide Elections: 2001-2025
Both candidates spent less in this year’s campaigns for Governor, down from the record-high totals in the 2021 election. But in the Attorney General contest, spending was higher than in past years, and expenditures on the Republican side nearly tripled versus four years ago. See spending by candidates for Governor, Lt. Notes: Only includes Republican and Democratic candidates on the November ballot. The amounts represent expenditures reported on schedule D, loan repayments, disbursement of surplus funds, and in-kind contributions. Amounts adjusted for inflation. Includes all committees controlled by the candidate.
