Small Donors for Statewide Races

Lt. Governor Winsome Earle-Sears and former Rep. Abigail Spanberger have both set records this cycle for the percentage of their total donations coming from small donors, compared to prior candidates at this point in the election cycle. Notes: "Small donors" includes unitemized cash contribution, as well as itemized cash contributions from donors who gave less than $100 during the election cycle. Only includes Republican and Democratic candidates that qualified for the November ballot, and only includes contributions made to the candidates' primary campaign committee. Includes contributions starting three years before the election through June 30th of the election year.
