House Incumbents Defeated: 1997-2025

Twelve Republican delegates were defeated in the November 4th elections. This is tied with 2017 for the most incumbent losses in a general election since at least 1997.

* Del. Matt Farris (R) missed the filing deadline for the nomination contest in 2023, and ran as an independent.

Note: Only includes incumbent delegates on the ballot who lost to a challenger in a November general election. Does not include primaries or special elections.
