Summary

As Introduced. TNC partners; requirements and background screening.

Changes the requirements for background screening of a transportation network company (TNC) partner to specify that background checks are not to be limited to a specific period of time and shall include all addresses at which such TNC partner has resided. The bill also provides that serving any portion of a sentence for certain offenses within the preceding seven years disqualifies an individual from being authorized as a TNC partner. Under current law, for such certain offenses, such an individual is disqualified if he has been convicted or has pled guilty or nolo contendere within the preceding seven years. (Less)
