Summary

As Introduced. Hospitals; emergency department physicians.

Requires that hospitals in the Commonwealth with a psychiatric emergency department have certain agreements, described in the bill, in place to transfer patients with non-psychiatric emergency medical conditions to other facilities with emergency departments. The bill also requires that hospitals in the Commonwealth with a psychiatric emergency department have providers present with Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support training.
