Summary
As Passed House of Origin. Workers' Compensation; presumption for certain disorders incurred by law-enforcement officers and firefighters.
Provides that for the purposes of Workers' Compensation for post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorder, or depressive disorder incurred by a law-enforcement officer or firefighter, claims without any accompanying injury or for the exacerbation of any such preexisting disorder shall be compensable, provided that certain requirements are met. The bill removes ... (More) the requirement that a specific qualifying event, and not another event or source of stress, is the primary cause of the post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorder, or depressive disorder.
