Summary
As Passed House of Origin. Department of Health; reduction of opioid overdose and opioid overdose deaths; report.
Directs the Department of Health to develop a strategic plan to reduce rates of opioid overdose and opioid overdose death in the Commonwealth by (i) conducting an evaluation and needs assessment of existing opioid overdose prevention, intervention, and treatment efforts in the Commonwealth, and (ii) collaborating with the Secretaries of ... (More) Health and Human Resources, Education, and Public Safety and Homeland Security and such other stakeholders and state agencies as may be appropriate. The bill requires the Department to report annually by November 1 to the Governor and General Assembly regarding the status of the strategic plan and implementation thereof.
