Summary

As Introduced. Rules of construction and definitions; 'appointed and qualified.'

Defines 'appointed and qualified,' whenever used in reference to the term of office of any person appointed by the Governor for which confirmation by the General Assembly is required, to mean that the appointee has satisfied all statutory requirements, taken the oath of office, and been confirmed by the General Assembly. The bill adds this definition to Title 1, giving it applicability throughout the Code of Virginia. (Less)
