Lighten Up, It's Just Politics 2025

More than 430 people attended VPAP’s annual “Lighten Up!” luncheon, where Senator Todd Pillion (R) and House Appropriations Chair Luke Torian (D) poked fun at themselves and each other. For the first time ever, the headliners took the stage together. The Senator and the Chairman knocked it out of the park performing VPAP's take on Saturday Night Live’s “Weekend Update” sketch.

The annual fundraiser raised nearly $250,000, and brought together people from both sides of the aisle to laugh and network. The event is a reminder that while politics is serious business, we don't always have to take ourselves too seriously.
